Light to heavy rainfall is likely to occur across the country including Dhaka on Saturday, according to a Met office bulletin.
A 24- hour bulletin, issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday, also said light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
On Friday, light to heavy rainfall occurred at different parts of the country, it said.
Maximum 125 mm rainfall was recorded in Sitakunda while 38 mm rainfall was recorded in Dhaka, it further said.
However, the met office bulletin said rainfall activity may decrease in the next 48- hour.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh, the forecast said, adding that one of its associated trough extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
