Widespread rainfall was recorded across Bangladesh on Thursday due to the deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, which has now moved inland over Satkhira and adjacent regions as a land depression. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts more rain over the next three days.

According to the evening weather bulletin, most areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty or squally winds and lightning on Friday. Some regions may witness moderate to very heavy rainfall.

Daytime temperatures may fall by 1–2°C, while nighttime temperatures may slightly decrease.

Rainfall is expected to ease somewhat on Saturday, although many areas, especially in Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet, will continue to receive showers. Sunday may bring further showers, particularly in the northern and eastern regions.

The highest rainfall recorded Thursday was 168 mm in Noakhali, with Dhaka seeing 83 mm. Tetulia recorded the highest temperature at 33.2°C.
