Met office predicts rain across country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a BMD bulletin issued on Monday.

The Met Office also forecasts that day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, reports BSS.

The highest temperature 35.3 degree Celsius was recorded in Dimla under Rangpur Division on Sunday while today's minimum temperature 23.9 degree Celsius has been recorded in Bandarban.

The sun will set at 6:50 pm today and rise at 5:15 am tomorrow in the capital.
