Metro rail in Dhaka resumed operations after more than one hour and 30 minutes of suspension due to a problem in the power supply system on Saturday.
Earlier, a technical glitch resulted in disruption of metro rail service in Dhaka around 5:20 pm.
Local news portals said passengers faced immense suffering, including getting stuck inside the station due to network disruption, following the sudden closure.
Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Faruque Ahmed told FE that they resumed the service at 6:52 pm after resolving the problem.
