Metro rail services will be suspended for 40 minutes on Tuesday to ensure the safety of paratroopers during Victory Day celebrations.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) announced on Monday that the suspension will be from 11:50 am to 12:30 pm.
A para jump is scheduled at Tejgaon Puratan Airport to mark Victory Day, prompting the temporary halt in metro services for the safety of the paratroopers, according to DMTCL.
Authorities apologised to commuters for the inconvenience and assured them that the services would resume as scheduled.
