At least six people were dead and three were injured in a head-on collision between a microbus and CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Sylhet-Bholaganj Road at Salutikor under Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet district today.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports UNB.
KM Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gowainghat Police Station, said the accident occurred around 8:30 am when the microbus hit the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving five people dead on the spot and four others injured.
Of the injured, one died on the way to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital.
