Mild heat wave sweeps parts of country: Met office

A mild heat wave is sweeping in different parts of the country including Rajshahi division and it may abate from some places, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

“A mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi division and the districts of Dinajpur, Sayedpur and Chuadanga and it may abate from some places,” said a regular bulletin of Met office.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. There are chances of rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds at one or two places in the northeastern part of the country, it said.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over northern part and may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country.

Besides, a trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.

Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, reports UNB.
