DB to quiz Milton Samadder’s wife Sunday: Harun

The Detective Branch (DB) of police has summoned the wife of Milton Samaddar, founder of charity organisation Child and Old Age Care, for questioning, said DB chief Harun-or-Rashid.

While talking to the reports at DB’s Minto Road office in the city on Saturday, he said Mitu Halder would be quizzed on Sunday afternoon at the DB office on allegations of irregularities, corruption and organ harvesting at the care home.

Milton is being grilled in police custody after he was arrested on Wednesday evening following media reports on the suspected irregularities and crimes.

He rose to fame by sheltering helpless people in his care home. Media reports, however, suggest that he embezzled a huge amount of money collected for the home and that he stole the organs of many people taking refuge there, under the cover of his charitable activities.
