A minor boy was burnt to death in a fire at Hathatpara village in Shibganj upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Nabi, 9, son of Sumon Ali of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Habibul Islam said the fire originated from mosquito-repellent incense at Ezabul Haq's cowshed of the village around 11pm.
UNB news agency reported that Nabi, grandson of Ezabul Haq, was asleep and burnt to death when the fire erupted. Later local people managed to douse the fire.
