Minor boy drowns in Chandpur pond

A minor boy drowned in a pond in Bagadi village of sadar upazila in Chandpur on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Swopon, 6, son of Fazar Ali, of the village.

Swopon went missing around 12 pm, said one of the victim's relatives, UNB reported.

After a frantic search for around four hours, locals spotted the body floating in the pond. Later, the victim was taken to the sadar hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
