Unidentified miscreants stabbed a college student to death at Laxmibazar in the capital on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Md Ranak, 18, a student of class XII of New Paltan Line School and College and a resident of Nilambar Saha Road, Hazaribagh.
Sources said a group of miscreants attacked Ranak at noon and stabbed him on the left thigh, leaving him critically injured, said Babu Miah, assistant sub-inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost.
He was rushed to the hospital, but the on-duty doctor declared him dead, reports UNB.
