A local Jamaat-e-Islami activist was stabbed to death by miscreants at Kashipur village in Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam, 45, a resident of Rangiarpota village, reports UNB.
A gang of miscreants attacked Rabiul around 6:00am while he was going to Kashipur village after saying his fazr prayers and stabbed indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured, police said.
Biplob Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Kotchanpur Police Station, said that injured Rabiul was taken to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
