Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan has been removed from his post as the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and was reassigned to the Bangladesh Air Force.
A notification in this regard was issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Public Administration.
However, the order did not mention who would succeed him in the role. The president has ordered Monjur's transfer, according to the notification signed by Joint Secretary Abul Hayat Md Rafique.
Earlier, on August 9 last year, the government had appointed Air Vice Marshal Monjur as the chairman of CAAB. Prior to that, he served as an Air Captain at Zahurul Haque Air Force Base in Chattogram.
