A woman and her minor daughter were killed when a bus hit a rickshaw at Khalishpur in Khulna city on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Shimul Akhter, 35, wife of Babul Hossain of Alamnagar of Khalishpur, and their daughter Tonny, 7.
Assistant Commissioner (Media) of Khulna Metropolitan Police Sonali Sen said the BRTC bus smashed the rickshaw carrying the duo around 7:30 am, leaving the minor girl dead on the spot and her mother injured, reports UNB.
The injured was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 9 am.
