‘Muggers snatch away’ Tk 1m from bkash agents in Jessore

A gang of muggers snatched away around Tk one million stabbing a ‘bKash’ agent in Khitibaria rail crossing area of Sadar upazila of Jessore district on Sunday.

Quoting the victims, A K M Azmal Huda, the Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Police Station said, a gang of muggers numbering 6/7 obstructed three ‘bKash’ agents - Abu Syed, Narayan Mazumder, and Mahbubur Rahman - in the area around 4:00 pm while they were going to their office riding on a motorcycle after collecting Tk 0.94 million.

The muggers snatched away the bike with money from Syed hitting him with sharp weapon, a news agency reported.

Narayan Mazumder, executive of Zen International Ltd, an authorised distribution company of bKash of the district, filed a case with the police station at night.
