Hearing of Zia Orphanage graft case will be held in the same court, says a top court order.

A five-member bench led by acting Chief Justice M Wahab Miah passed the order on Monday.

The order follows hearing of a plea by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to change her trial court.

Earlier, on Sunday, after concluding hearing, the SC set today (Monday) for delivering the decision.

Khaleda moved to the Appellate Division on Aug 6 after being rejected by the High Court on Aug 20.

The Anti Corruption Commission filed the Zia Orphanage graft case with Ramna police on July 3, 2008.

Khaleda Zia, her eldest son Tarique Rahman and four other persons were made accused in the case.

The case is about embezzling over Tk 21. 0 million that came as grants from a foreign bank for orphans.
