Nine individuals, one educational institute named for Independence Award

The government has named nine individuals, including two posthumously, Commander Abdur Rouf and Anwar Pasha, and educational institute Bharateswari Homes for the Independence Award.

The recipients of Bangladesh’s highest civilian awards also include actress Ferdousi Majumdar and MP Golam Dastagir Gazi, the Cabinet Division said in a statement Thursday, reports bdnews24.com.
