No ban on AL within deadline; Hasnat Abdullah announces long march to Jamuna

Hasnat Abdullah has announced a long march to Jamuna, the official residence of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, as no clear roadmap for banning the Awami League was issued within their one-hour deadline on Saturday.

The chief organiser for the National Citizens’ Party (NCP)’s southern region made the announcement during a rally at Shahbagh in Dhaka at 8:45 pm.

He said that since there had been no announcement in line with their one-hour ultimatum, they would move to Rajosic Intersection in front of InterContinental Hotel and take position there.

Earlier, at 7:30 am, Hasnat Abdullah had issued a one-hour ultimatum demanding a clear roadmap for banning the Awami League.
