Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has directed the authorities concerned not to allow any battery-run rickshaws in Dhaka city.
“It is not enough to impose a ban on battery-run rickshaws in Dhaka city. Take steps so that battery-run rickshaws cannot operate in the city,” he said at the first meeting of the Road Transport Advisory Council held at the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Bhaban in the capital’s Banani on Wednesday.
