No Covid-19 deaths reported in last 30 days

Bangladesh recorded no deaths from Covid-19 in last 30 days as the death toll remained unchanged at 29,445 over last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

The latest death of a Covid-19 patient was reported on last February 13 this year, reports bdnews24.com.

The government data, released on Wednesday, showed nine cases of infections were reported in 24 hours and overall tally of infections reached 2,037,947.

As many as 1,636 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 0.55 per cent.

Dhaka with 8 infections logged the highest number of cases among the eight divisions.

Another three people recovered from the illness nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,006,696.

The latest figures put the recovery rate at 98.47 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.44 per cent.

Globally, over 676.60 million people were infected by the coronavirus and 6.88 million died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University collected on Mar 10.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
