No toll collection from ambulances carrying patients: High Court

The High Court (HC) on Monday directed the relevant authorities not to collect tolls from ambulances carrying patients on expressways, highways, important bridges, ferries, and roads.

The HC bench of Justice Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Md Bazlur Rahman passed the order today after hearing a writ filed earlier in this regard, according to local media reports.

The High Court also issued a rule asking why no permanent directives should be issued to stop toll collection from ambulances.
