A day-long NRB Global Convention 2025 will be held on Tuesday to highlight the contributions of NRBs in various sectors, celebrate their impact on Bangladesh’s growth and strengthen ties between Bangladesh and its international partners.
Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) from about 25 countries around the world, including entrepreneurs, doctors, engineers, scientists, university professors, and IT professionals, will take part in this event to be held in a city hotel.
Delegations from the America-Bangladesh Chamber, Canada-Bangladesh Chamber, British-Bangladesh Chamber, UK-BCCCI, Bangladesh Business Council, Dubai, Singapore-Bangladesh Chamber, Japan-Bangladesh Chamber, Korea-Bangladesh Chamber, and Australia-Bangladesh Chamber will also join in the convention.
Representatives from various Bangladeshi business groups and chambers will also participate in the event, where nearly one thousand expatriates are expected to take part.
Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Touhid Hossain is expected to inaugurate the conference as the chief guest in the morning.
Local businesspeople and professionals would be able to build up a network with NRBs during the event, where high-level policymakers from the Bangladesh government will also take part.
‘NRB World’, the largest platform for expatriate Bangladeshis, has organised the NRB Global Convention, with support from NRB Family Support and Business America Magazine.
Various events will take place during the day-long event, which include seminars on health, education, development, economy, and IT.
‘NRB Award’ will be presented during this event to expatriate Bangladeshis who have made significant contributions in various sectors.
“The main goal of this year’s NRB Convention is to create an effective bridge between home and abroad through bilateral relationships,” Enamul Haque Enam, the founder of NRB World, said.
While encouraging large entrepreneurs and businessmen abroad to invest in the country, efforts will also continue to ensure that skilled expatriate professionals in various sectors can contribute to local entrepreneurs’ efforts, he said.
