The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has announced a major recruitment drive to appoint 67,208 teachers and lecturers to MPO-listed private educational institutions across Bangladesh.

Applications will open on Saturday and remain available until midnight on Jan 17, according to the NTRCA website on Tuesday.

The vacancies include 29,571 posts in schools and colleges, 36,804 in madrasas, and 833 in technical education institutions.

Registered candidates can submit applications through www.ntrca.gov.bd and http://ngi.teletalk.com.bd, where detailed vacancy lists and eligibility criteria are available.

The application fee has been set at Tk 1,000, payable via SMS until midnight on Jan 18.

Applicants may select up to seven preferred institutions per application and can also indicate willingness to be appointed outside their chosen preferences.

NTRCA said the validity of a teacher registration certificate is three years from the date of publication of the registration exam results. Candidates aged under 35 years who hold a valid registration certificate as of Jun 4, 2025, will be eligible to apply.

In line with directives from the Ministry of Education, teachers already working in MPO-listed institutions will not be eligible to apply for the same positions.

The authority also said applicants must complete a police verification form at the time of filling out the application form.

The government’s Monthly Pay Order (MPO) policy for private schools and colleges has introduced several changes, including provisions to bring Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s-level teachers under the scheme, alongside revised criteria for institutions seeking MPO eligibility.
