NU VC hands over cheque to family of Shaheed Abu Sayed

Vice-chancellor of National University Professor Dr ASM Amanullah on Friday handed over a cheque to the family of martyred Abu Sayed.

ASM Amanullah visited the home of Shaheed Abu Sayed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, who was killed in police firing during the quota reform movement, reports BSS.

The VC offered prayers at the grave of Abu Sayed prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family members.

He said the National University will take steps to make a permanent memorial plaque of Abu Sayed and Mukhdo on its campus.

Besides, all colleges under the National University will arrange Abu Sayed and Mukhdo trust scholarships in the country, he added.
