Offices to return to normal schedule from Wednesday

The government and private offices are set to return to their normal schedule, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, from Wednesday, according to the Public Administration Ministry.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the instructions on the issue on Tuesday, according to local media reports.

Earlier, the offices and banks reshuffled the office time after the curfew imposed by the government amid violence surrounding the quota reform protests on Jul 19.

By executive order, the government declared public holidays from Jul 21–23 in two stages for public, private, semi-public, autonomous, and semi-autonomous offices.

On Jul 24 and Jul 25, the government decided to reopen offices, but office hours were restricted to 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

As the curfew eased, office timings were extended to 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Office schedules will now return to regular hours from Wednesday.
