One more people died of Covid-19 in the country in the 24 hours till Monday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, three new people have been tested positive for the virus, taking the total number of infections this year to 704. So far, a total of 2,052,249 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country.
Meanwhile, a total of 364 people have been hospitalised with dengue fever in the same period. However, no deaths were reported, DGHS said.
Also, during the same period, 333 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals.
Since the beginning of this year, a total of 17,582 people have been hospitalised with dengue fever. Among the patients, 58.7 per cent are male and 41.3 per cent are female.
So far, 16,227 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The disease has claimed 62 lives this year. In 2024, Bangladesh recorded a total of 101,214 dengue cases with 575 deaths attributed to the disease.
