Bangladesh logged one more death from dengue and detected 13 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours to Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the period, 383 dengue patients were hospitalised nationwide. Barisal division admitted the highest number of new cases (136), followed by Chittagong (55), Dhaka division outside of the two city corporations (48), Dhaka North City Corporation (32), Dhaka South City Corporation (28), Khulna (41), Mymensingh (10), and Rajshahi division (33).
The fresh fatality raised this year's dengue death toll to 42.
Meanwhile, transmission remained relatively low. The 13 new Covid-19 infections -detected from 584 tests -produced a daily positivity rate of 4.22 per cent.
