Dengue claimed another life in the past 24 hours until Sunday morning, with 466 new dengue patients also being hospitalised.
With these new cases, the total number of deaths and hospitalizations from the mosquito-borne disease has reached 105 and 26,378 respectively this year. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed these.
Among those hospitalized with dengue in the last 24 hours, 83 were from the Barisal division, 60 from the Chattogram division, 60 from other districts of the Dhaka division, 74 from the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 57 from the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 47 from Khulna, eight from Mymensingh, 66 from the Rajshahi division, 5 from Rangpur, and 6 from Sylhet.
During the same period, 441 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital and returned home, bringing the total number of discharged patients this year to 25,011.
Meanwhile, no Covid positive cases were reported during this period out of 38 samples tested.
