Online General Diary (GD) service was launched at all 64 police stations under Khulna Range on Sunday midnight.
The service was inaugurated from Dumuria Police Station and is now active in all 10 districts of the division, said Khulna range DIG Md Rezaul Haq, as per a UNB report.
To use the service, people have been requested to download the ‘Online GD’ app from the Google Play Store and register once. For assistance, users can call 01320001428, a 24/7 helpline.
The initiative aims to bring police services closer to citizens and enhance public trust, said sources.
Earlier, only lost-and-found GDs could be filed online, but now all types of incidents can be reported.
The app contains all necessary information, enabling citizens to file GDs from home, reducing hassle and ensuring better accessibility.
