The Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has announced that parts of Dhaka will experience an emergency ‘gas shutdown’ on Monday. This means that all customers in these areas will experience low to very low gas pressure.
The outage will last for 12 hours from 6pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday, says bdnews24.com citing a Titas Gas statement on Sunday.
The impact will be felt in GTCL's Demra CGS to TGTDPLC's entire Demra, Matuail, Jatrabari, Shyampur, Rayerbagh, Dholair Par, Sayedabad, Nandipara, Khilgaon, Basabo, Motijheel, Rampura, Badda, Malibagh, Banasree, Shahjahanpur, Dhaka Cantonment, Gulshan, Banani and their surrounding areas, the notice said.
In some areas, the gas pressure may fall to zero, the company added.
The Titas Gas authority says it apologises for the temporary inconvenience to customers.
