PM attends milad on Sheikh Lutfar Rahman’s death anniversary

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has attended a doa mahfil on the occasion of the 43rd death anniversary of Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, the father of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Bangabandhu's younger daughter Sheikh Rehana also attended the milad and doa mahfil after Maghrib prayers at Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi.

Besides, relatives, friends and well-wishers of the Bangabandhu family and trustees of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Trust and senior officials of the Prime Minister's Office were also present,

The attendees included PM's Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Jainul Abedin, Inspector General of Police Dr Javed Patwary, PMO Secretary Sajjadul Hasan and PM's Special Assistant Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap.

Prayers were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Sheikh Lutfar Rahman as well as Bangabandhu and other martyrs of theAugust 15carnage. 

According to BSS, a munajat was also offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation as well as good health and long life of the Prime Minister and her other family members.
