The government has nothing to do about the quota unless the court comes up with a solution to this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasain said on Sunday.
She made the remark in response to a question from journalists during a press conference at the Ganobhaban regarding her recent visit to China.
The prime minister flew to Beijing on an official visit on July 8 at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and returned home on Thursday.
During her stay in Beijing from July 8 to 10, she held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Hasina also held a bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People.
Bangladesh and China signed and renewed 21 cooperation documents after a delegation-level bilateral meeting on Wednesday morning.
The meeting emphasised strong development and economic cooperation between these two Asian countries.
Both Bangladesh and China have signed seven declarations, including one on a joint feasibility study on Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
