Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina virtually inaugurated Bangladesh’s largest Women Central Jail on Sunday noon.
Talking to The Financial Express, Mohammad Sajjad Hossain, Assistant Inspector General (Development) of Department of Prisons said at least 300 under-trial and convicted prisoners will be kept at the newly-constructed jail located in Keraniganj adjacent to Dhaka Central Jail.
The prisoners will receive modern facilities from the prison, Mr Hossain added.
