Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Agargaon-Motijheel part of metro rail in Dhaka through a ceremony at the MRT-6 Agargaon station on Saturday, according to a live telecast of Bangladesh Television.
After the event at Agargaon, the prime minister got on a decorated metro train to attend another inaugural programme at the Motijheel station.
Commuters will be able to take the train from Uttara to Motijheel from November 5.
Bangladesh stepped into speedy electric-commuting era after the opening of the maiden Uttara North-Agargaon part of the MRT 6 on December 28.
