Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has unveiled a commemorative postage stamp marking Independence and National Day.
The stamp was unveiled at Tarique's Secretariat office on Wednesday morning, according his press aide Atiqur Rahman Ruman.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, Posts Secretary Abdun Naser Khan and Posts Department Director General Kazi Asadul Islam were present at the event.
The prime minister is also scheduled to chair a cabinet meeting at 4pm.
Ruman said the cabinet usually meets on the last day of the week, but this week’s meeting was brought forward because Thursday falls on Independence and National Day.
