The government has suspended Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sarda Police Academy, Rajshahi, Md Tanvir Salehin Emon.
Earlier he also served as deputy police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). As per the President Order, the Ministry of Home Affairs (public security affairs cell) in a circular signed by Senior Secretary Nasimul Gani issued the order on Thursday.
Tanvir Salehin was arrested on February 12, 2025 in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act on August 21, 2024 with the New Market Police Station.
The circular said Tanvir Salehin Emon was temporarily suspended from his job as per the Government Employment Act 2018. It said that he will be attached with DIG Rajshahi Range during his suspension. However, he will get subsistence allowances during this period.
