Police arrested Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) General Secretary Akramul Hasan from Paltan area of the capital on Friday.
JCD General Secretary Akramul Hasan was held around 12pm on Friday from Dhaka’s Paltan, said police.
He was wanted in two cases filed with the Paltan Police Station, said OC Mahmudul Hasan adding he is accused in several others cases filed other police stations in the capital.
According to bdnews24.com report, he was whisked away by police soon after leaving a discussion at the National Press Club auditorium.
In a statement, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir condemned the arrest and demanded his release
