The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has imposed a ban on the entry and residence of 330 people in the city, publishing a list of those it applies to.
The CMP issued the directive on Saturday afternoon.
Signed by CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz, the CMP said the action was taken under Sections 40, 41 and 43 of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police Ordinance, 1978.
It ordered the expulsion of identified “miscreants” currently staying in the metropolitan and prohibited members of the listed group from entering or residing in Chattogram until further instructions.
Announced in a notice, the directive warned that legal action would be taken against anyone violating the order.
