Clashes erupted between police and protesting students in Khulna when they started marching along the Royal intersection in the city on Wednesday.
As part of the freshly launched ‘March for Justice’ programme by the Students Against Discrimination (SAD) to press home their 9-point demand, the protesters held processions on major roads of the city around 12 pm today.
They came face-to-face with police deployed in the areas including Shib Bari intersection and Moylapota.
The police dispersed protesters by firing teargas shells.
The protesting students claimed that around 30 people were detained from the procession.
