A housewife was found dead at Jhapa village in Jashore’s Manirampur upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Airunnesa, 45, wife of Azibor Rahman of the village.
Locals spotted the body of Airunnesa and informed police, said Tobarak Ali, a sub-inspector of Manirampur Police Station.
UNB reported that, police later recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
The body bore several injury marks at the neck and forehead. Police suspected that Airunnesa might have been killed over a family feud.
