Police recover bullet-riddled body in Laxmipur

Police recovered the bullet-riddled body of a young man from a ditch behind Boralia Primary School polling centre in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur on Saturday night.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station.

The bullet-riddled body was sent to Sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy, UNB reports.

Local people said a gunfight between two groups took place in the area at around 10:30pm.
