AL historically a fascist political party: VP Nur

President of Gano Adhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur has said that the Awami League (AL) is historically a fascist political organisation.

“We have to develop a fair and congenial political culture in Patuakhali with the help of all political parties,” he told an iftar party organized by his party’s Patuakhali district unit at local Shishu park on Monday evening as chief guest.

“We have to think about reform of the state and fulfilment of people's hopes and aspirations first and then election,” Nur, also a former Vice President (VP) of the Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) said, adding, “We used to surrender to the Almighty Allah when we were in danger and later forget it.”

The former DUCSU VP urged the interim government not to give attention to a particular political party, rather work for reducing the prices of essentials and developing an overall law and order situation.

With the party’s Patuakhali district unit convener Nazrul Islam Litu in the chair, central, district, upazila unit leaders of the party and local elites were present.
