Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, who recently resigned as a student advisor to the interim government, has announced that he will contest the upcoming 13th national election as an independent candidate from the Dhaka-10 constituency.
He announced in a video posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, reports bdnews24.com.
“I will contest as an individual candidate for the Dhaka-10 seat in the upcoming 13th national election. Your cooperation and support is needed,” he said.
The general election is expected to be held alongside a national referendum on Feb 12, 2026, the Election Commission announced on Friday.
