Awami League plans nationwide gatherings Sunday

The Awami League announced on Saturday that it will hold gatherings at all wards of Dhaka and at all districts and metropolitan cities across the country on Sunday amid the ongoing student movement.

General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the plan at an emergency press conference at the party president’s political office in Dhanmondi.

Quader also said the party will hold a mourning procession from the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, to Bangabandhu Bhaban in the capital on Monday.

Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, among others, attended the press conference.
