Awami League to hold a number of rallies from September 23 to October 4

Awami League (AL) has announced to hold series of rallies in Dhaka and some other parts of the country from September 3 to October 4.
AL’s Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif gave the information on Tuesday after a meeting at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office in Dhaka, according to social media live streaming of different news outlets.
The decision was taken a day after BNP’s announcement of a 15-day programme as part of their ongoing one-point movement demanding the resignation of the Awami League-led government.
Dhaka's south and north city units of Awami League will hold a rally in front of the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on September 23.
Two rallies will be held in Uttara and Jatrabari areas in Dhaka on September 25, Hanif said.
The ruling party will hold a rally in Keraniganj on September 26 and in Tongi on September 27.
The party will arrange doa mahfil on September 28 on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday.
A discussion programme will be held on September 29 at at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka, marking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday.
The AL will hold a farmers’ rally in front of the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on September 30.
On October 4, the ruling party will hold a rally in Mirsarai of Chattogram.
