Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said the government is not concerned about US sanctions and visa policies.
Quader made these remarks during a press briefing on current affairs at the Secretariat in the capital on Tuesday.
He also said that US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu had arrived in Bangladesh with his own agenda, clarifying that Lu was not invited by the Bangladesh government.
Regarding the visit of Donald Lu to Bangladesh, the minister declined to comment further, saying, "I don't want to discuss it."
"Such visits are part of their routine and will continue as usual", he added, reports local media.
