Bangladesh Chhatra league (BCL), students' wing of ruling Awami League, has got its new president and secretary.
Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and Golam Rabbani were respectively made president and general secretary of the new central executive committee.
Both of them are the students of law department of Dhaka University, reports UNB.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the new committee on behalf of party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday night.
Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, also declared the leaders of the Dhaka University, Dhaka Metropolitan North and South units.
Sonjit Chandra Das has become BCL Dhaka University unit's president and Saddam Hossain the general secretary.
Dhaka Metropolitan North BCL got Md Ibrahim as its president and Saidur Rahman Hridoy as the general secretary.
Mehedi Hasan is the new president of BCL Dhaka Metropolitan South Unit while Md Jobayer Ahmed the general secretary.
AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has approved the new committees for the next two years.
