Shakeup in BNP central committee

BNP has brought major changes to its central committee, reshuffling 39 positions including the post of vice-chairman and joint secretary general.

According to a press release issued by BNP senior joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday, the party made its central leader Asaduzzaman Ripon a vice-chairman of the central committee.

BNP’s current media cell convener Zahir Uddin Swapan, Joint Secretary Generals AHM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Majibur Rahman Sarwar, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Harun Or Rashid, Aslam Chowdhury, Organising Secretaries Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu, Sakhawat Hossain Jibon, Assistant International Affairs Secretary Baby Naznin, Assistant ICT Affairs Secretary Khalid Hossain Chowdhury were made advisory council members of the party’s chairperson.

Current Organising Secretaries Abdus Salam Azad and Syed Emran Saleh Prince were made joint secretary generals. Publicity Affairs Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee was also promoted to the post of made joint secretary general.
