The doors of BNP’s central office in Naya Paltan area of Dhaka have reopened after being closed for 26 days.
According to office staff member Solayan, who gave a single name, the staff members began cleaning the office premises after the doors were unlocked around 7:00 am on Tuesday.
He said, “The main gate of the office was opened this morning. A lot of dust has accumulated in the office due to being closed for a long time. It is being cleaned. The leaders will come in after a few hours.”
Several BNP leaders and workers were also seen gathering in front of the office in the early hours of Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
Shafiq Uddin, a resident of Khulna, said, “I came back to my house at 8:00 am. The killer government had occupied all our houses. Today, we are liberated. They are fleeing.”
“You have seen that the detective branch raided the BNP office like a Hindi movie in the dark of night. The media said that explosives were found here. Actually, the detective branch acted as the government’s agent and created drama. The main director of the drama has fled the country,” said Sanjida Khatun, a garment worker in Rampura.
