BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Thursday said his party aims to build a safe Bangladesh where people of all ages and backgrounds can live without fear.
“We want to build a Bangladesh together—the Bangladesh a mother dreams of. That means a safe Bangladesh,” he said. “In such a country, whether it is a woman, a man or a child, anyone who steps out of home should be able to return home safely, Insha’Allah.”
He made the remarks while addressing a mass reception at the 300 Feet area in Purbachal on Thursday (December 25).
Earlier, Tarique Rahman arrived at the reception venue at around 3:50 pm. His arrival triggered loud slogans and cheers from party leaders, activists and enthusiastic supporters, as the July 36 Expressway and surrounding areas reverberated with excitement.
Upon taking the stage, the BNP acting chairman waved to the crowd, responding to greetings and expressions of affection from supporters amid scenes of jubilant enthusiasm.
